ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team has released the Mountain West portion of its schedule for the upcoming 2017-18 season. The remainder of the schedule will be released at a later date.
Mountain West action is set to begin for New Mexico at home on December 27 against Air Force. From there, the Lobos travel to Nevada for a New Year Showdown with the Wolf Pack on December 30. New Mexico remains on the road for the next contest, facing Boise State.
On January 6 and January 10, the Lobos will play back-to-back home games against San José State and Wyoming. The home stand is followed by another two-game road trip, at Fresno State on January 13 and UNLV on January 17.
The Lobos will take on San Diego State on January 20 before having their first bye date on Wednesday, January 24. Following the bye date, the Lobos play host to Colorado State on January 27 and will travel to Utah State on January 31.
The second round of games will start on February 3 against San José State in California. The Lobos will then take on Boise State in The Pit on February 7 before traveling to Air Force on February 10.
On February 14, Utah State will make the trip to Albuquerque before the Lobos have their second bye date of the year on February 17. The final four games of the year will be a trip to Wyoming on February 21, hosting UNLV on February 24, at Colorado State on February 28 and the final home game of the year against Fresno State on March 3.
Due to the conference’s unbalanced scheduling arrangement, UNM will not host Nevada and will not travel to San Diego State. The 2018 MW Championship Tournament will take place March 7-10 at Thomas & Mack in Las Vegas, Nev.
