Socorro Community Radio LLC. was revoked and in bad standing with the New Mexico Secretary of State in February of 2017. Green Lion Media LLC drove to Santa Fe and brought Socorro Community Radio LLC back in to good standing. Socorro Community Radio LLC Revoked Marking 1 year since Green Lion Media bought KYRN on June 16 2017 and made it a local radio station with local artist, local programs and added over 6 different genres of music to the station which became listener favorites. A proud member of the Western Music Association (WMA) , I created Western Wednesdays and hosted WMA award winner Doug Figgs on a local two hour live in studio feature of great Western Country artist and music. I continued as Mine Country until the New Year 2018 warranted changes as we secured a new streaming service to provide the great music that our veterans, family and friends who listened online could continue to enjoy without interruption. It was in January of 2018 that we officially re-branded ourselves Rio Grande Valley Radio coming from the Free-State of Socorro! Rio Grande Valley Radio encompasses more of the communities along the Rio Grande in our broadcast region and expresses our desire to be more inclusive of our many community neighbors. Today Rio Grande Valley Radio with Reese Janca is working to continue the great music and local programs on-line as we await the trial in December against a fraudulent seller! | NOTICE: Falsified Special Temporary Authority filed by Steve Edmondson expires in October and KYRN is required to return to broadcasting and serving the public good in the Socorro New Mexico community of coverage. Now Edmondson is asking for an extension and now is the time to for public comment. After 7 months of trying to get Edmondson to file the FCC 314 as required under CFR 47 Part 73 after Edmondson had left New Mexico for Iowa and begun his full-time job at Emmaus Bible College, I contacted the FCC when in February 2018 he still refused to file and I sought FCC advice and this is the advice I received.Michael Wagner Assistant Chief, Audio Division, Media Bureau at Federal Communications Commission Response to my inquiry. "My advice to you, and I strongly suggest that you heed it, is that you cease operating the station IMMEDIATELY and work with Socorro to get the necessary FCC Form 314 on file:
The complete paragraph response to me on February 27th 2017 from the FCC partially quoted by Steve Edmondson. Edmondson's ACTIONS FOLLOWING REQUEST TO FILE TRANSFERA teleconference took place between Attorney Mark Filosa and Steve Edmondson and Attorney Lee Deschamps and Reese Janca on March 6th that was recorded and audio is available of this meeting where the advice of the FCC to work together and file the 314 transfer form was ignored The full purchase price in possession of Steve Edmondson was not returned when his attempt at extortion failed. ""Suggest you inform them that you have tendered full purchase price and he is demanding $5,000 more before he will tender the appropriate forms to FCC, which he was required to do before turning operation of the studio over to Green Lion, after refusing to do so until you paid full price prior to seeking FCC approval—which is prohibited under FCC regs." Attorney Deschamps March 11, 2018
The online Special Temporary Authority for KYRN was filed on 3-21-18 and falsely listed the filing date as March 2nd 2018 and the Silent Date as March 3rd 2018. This document is public and posted on the FCC website. Edmondson refused the FCC directive to file the license transfer immediately with a 'plain as vanilla' application. Partial payment for the station was required to be returned by Green Lion Media given Edmondson's extortion and the FCC directive that the sale could not be complete until the transfer was approved. "I also caution you that Socorro should refund any purchase price you have paid, because the Commission will not approve an assignment application if the entire purchase price has been paid before we even see an application." Wagner Edmondson's reason for filing the STA is attached as an image.
Edmondson is the responsible individual for harming and destroying Socorro's hometown radio station since he is the only one that must initiate and sign the transfer request and chose instead to file a special temporary authority to go silent not once but twice. He has publicly announced he doesn't have funds to run the radio station and doesn't have time with his full-time job in Iowa to operate the radio station nor has he the ability to comply with the FCC license requirements locally or remote.
| Interesting how he omits the large sales commissions on Warrior Sports packages. 50% Commission on each package sold, per game talent fees and mileage to and from the games. NOTICE OF STATION SALEEdmondson's 4/24/2017 Press Release to El Defensor Chieftain's Scott Turner placing Mine Country 102.1FM KYRN for sale. 4-24-17 Mine Country Press Release Article Published in El Defensor Chieftain KYRN 102.1FM Sales Notice 4-27-17 On May 8th Edmondson signed a gentleman's sale agreement with the intent of keeping the station broadcasting locally with minimal service interruption during the transfer to new ownership. On June 16th he signed a 2-year owners financing agreement ending in June of 2019 and transferred the station to Green Lion Media and left for his new full-time job Iowa.

Bill in your memory and the fight form 2008 to 2012 to bring local radio back to Socorro, Kenny G. and I managed to bring live local sports to a vast audience of Warrior Fans through online video this year despite the harm and damages we have received thanks to the support of our Socorro Community. However, we can't provide the emergency coverage of the EAS system without KYRN 102.1FM and we are handicapped in serving our central Rio Grande Valley community. I did my best this year with my audience and community support to keep local radio alive in Socorro! Reese Janca KD7GSB Extra Class

Socorro Community Radio LLC was revoked and in bad standing with the New Mexico Secretary of State in February 2018, Green Lion drove to Santa Fe and brought Socorro Community Radio LLC back in to good standing on 3/06/2018. George Funkhouser was made registered agent on 3/30/18

Read the attached Request to Go Silent filed online after March 19th when the court was advised by Mr. Janca KD7GSB that it was the FCC that had jurisdiction over such matters. Has the document been falsified?

"This makes me so very sad. After Bill passed away I did everything I could to keep station on air . I’m so sorry. I continue to pray that this mess gets straightened out and that mine country will be back in the air!
